Joining the Church

Membership & Baptism

At CrossWay we believe the Bible reflects the expectation that everyone who identifies with Christ through faith will also identify with him in baptism, as well as identify with his people by joining a church.

For those seeking to be baptized and join our church, we offer occasional classes on these things to help us appreciate their meaning and importance.

Relationship & Community

Small Groups

Every year from September to May we host various small groups throughout the city. The goal of these small groups is to provide a close-knit place for us grow, learn, and receive encouragement. These small groups include time for fellowship, prayer, and learning from God’s word.

Text GroupS

Text Groups are weekly gatherings of individuals seeking to grow in their ability to read scripture. Each week someone prepares a worksheet on a different passage of scripture (typically from the current sermon series); and together we strive to improve in our ability to handle God’s Word.

Text Groups meet at various times throughout the week, with one occasionally on Sundays at 8:45 AM immediately before the service.

Training Seminars

Part of our growth as Christians entails our development in Biblical understanding. As such, CrossWay Community Church values and promotes education in the core tenets and practices of the Christian faith.

Towards this end, we offer classes that address subjects such as the gospel, doctrine, spiritual disciplines, how to read the Bible, evangelism, and more.

Discipleship

Complete our Personal Assessment and then meet with an elder to discuss your results an opportunities for growth. From there, we’d love to get you connected to Mentoring relationship or Growth Group (discipleship group).

Men, Women, Youth, & Children

Men’s Ministry

The men at CrossWay periodically get together to spend time with one another and hear from God’s Word. Men’s Ministry exists to foster friendships, and offer a place for accountability and encouragement.

Women’s Ministry

The CrossWay Women’s Ministry regularly hosts events which serve to provide a place for fellowship, friendship, and outreach among women. Our women read scripture together, serve each other, and build friendships with one another.

Youth Ministry

Our youth ministry at CrossWay exists to mentor teenagers (6th-12 grades) in Christlikeness, encourage healthy relationships with peers and adults, and facilitate their participation in the life of the church.

Children’s Ministry

Our children’s ministry exists to come alongside families and assist them in discipling their children. On Sunday mornings, our children — ages 3-years-old up to 5th grade — attend classes where they receive Christ-centered Bible lessons, memorize a monthly Bible verse, participate in weekly catechisms, and learn a “hymn of the month.” Our children’s ministry uses the well-respected Gospel Story Curriculum and New City Catechism. See our flyer to learn more about our children’s ministry.

Church Affiliation

CrossWay partners with other churches through associations and fellowships. These partnerships enable accountability, collective resourcing, and pursuit of our shared ministry efforts.

Global Missions

CrossWay is dedicated to the global mission of the church. We want to see churches strengthened and the gospel spread to every corner of the earth. To that end, we support global missionary partners.
